This 6-minute Jeff Bezos interview will teach you more about business than 100 twitter threads
Earlier this week I stumbled upon an odd interview with a young Jeff Bezos.
It’s over 1000 words, so I’ll spare you the watch and give you the best insights.
Because it’s gold.
The year was 1997 — Amazon.com was just a baby.
A public company baby, at least.
It only sold books.
It had just gone public, and so far, was down BAD. Barnes and Noble sued them over their slogan, causing the stock to plummet.
Still, Bezos was upbeat.
At least he still had (some) hair on his head.
He was at the Special Libraries conference in Seattle.
Someone unnamed interviewer asks him some simple questions.
What Bezos responds with is incredible insight into what to do at the start of a new technology shift.
